High School Shooting in New Mexico Leaves Two Dead and 15 Injured.
As if the world wasn't rough enough out here for our children, high schoolers in New Mexico have experienced a parents worst nightmare. An in-school shooting. The unknown gunman entered the school and began a shooting spree killing two.
According to Fox News:
"A law enforcement official and a Navajo Nation spokesman said more than a dozen others were injured during the incident, however, it wasn't immediately clear how they were hurt.
"It's tragic when our children are harmed in violent ways especially on school campuses. We express our condolences to those families who have been harmed," Russell Begaye, president of the Navajo Nation, said in a press release."
At this time, details are pretty vague and it's unclear if the shooting happened inside, or outside, of the school. The students who were unharmed were loaded onto school buses and moved to a separate location to be reunited with their parents. There are reportedly 900 students enrolled at the high school in northern Aztec, New Mexico. The towns population of 6,500 are primarily working class families. This town and it's people will definitely be in our #ThoughtsAndPrayers.
