Janet Jackson Shines During Essence Fest Performance and Honors Her Late Father. [WATCH]

If you're on of the lucky people who attended Essence Fest in New Orleans this year, you got to witness a great experience! There were TONS of performances by nearly every artist that you can think of and the one that left most folks speechless was, JANET JACKSON! The youngest child of Katherine and Joe Jackson, who passed away just two weeks ago, wowed the audience with her performance of "Together Again" while photos of her with her father flashed on huge screens.

She spoke briefly about her father, and how she thought of canceling her shows, after his death just before she performed her last song and left the stage.

She also performed other hits like "Anytime, Anyplace" and was just as amazing as she always has been!

We're glad Janet didn't cancel or reschedule any of her upcoming tour dates. Just two years ago she canceled the second leg of her "Unbreakable World Tour" after announcing that she was pregnant.

We definitely sympathize with and offer our condolences to the entire Jackson family in the loss of their father. Glad you could push through Janet!
