Mother and Her Two Young Children Found Dead Just Moments After Her Husband. Police Say Murder/Suici
New Jersey police are investigating what they believe to be a murder-suicide case after a mother and her two young children were found dead in their apartment. Police were performing a wellness check on the home when they found the bodies of Ruth Reyes, her 5-year-old daughter Euriany and 2-year-old-son, Eury.
They went to the home after finding a man dead in a wooded area in Carneys Point. His identification listed Reyes' Penns Grove Gardens apartment as his address. When they arrived, they found the mother and her children dead from apparent gun shot wounds.
Family members told investigators that Reyes had recently received an order of protection against her husband and that the couple had been going through a rough time.
Reyes' friend Keyla Padilla described her as "very friendly" and "a great person, she was always there for her kids, always working. If not working, she was in her house. She was very humble and stayed to herself."
All four deaths are still under investigation at this time.
