Homeless Man Who was Stabbed on the Street Identified as Chico DeBarge's Son!

On Thursday Los Angeles police responded to a call for a stabbing and found a 35-year-old man, whom they described as "transient" and "homeless", bleeding on the street.

First responders say they administered CPR but the man died at the scene.

Within 24 hours the victim's identity was discovered to be Dontae Anderson-DeBarge. The son of Chico DeBarge of the musically famous DeBarge family.

Dontae's cousin, Chico Javon DeBarge, took to social media to express his gratitude for the outpouring of love that his family was receiving. He also recalled memories with his cousin calling him "strong, God fearing, and eager to love and be loved" referring to him as his "brother'.

Dontae, like most of his family, was a lover of music but wanted a path all of his own. He was an aspiring model and loved by his family and friends.

It is presumed that Anderson-DeBarge had fallen on hard times and that is why the police assumed he was "homeless" at the time of his death.

At this moment police have no suspects and no motive for Anderson-DeBarge's murder. Los Angeles authorities assure us that they are continually investigating and are in pursuit of the culprit.
