Two Newborns Found Dead in the Bronx. One May Have Been Stabbed.
An anonymous call to 9-1-1 yesterday led police to find the bodies of two newborns in the Bronx.
Pix11 reports that the "baby boys, each believed to be less than a month old, were found behind a building on College Avenue, near and East 172nd Street in the Claremont section of the borough, around 2:40 p.m., police said.
One infant may have been stabbed and one may have been thrown from a roof, according to police. They were taken to an area hospital where they were pronounced dead, police said.
The bodies of the two boys were then transferred to the medical examiner's office, authorities said."
At this time we can only speculate that the babies are related, possibly twins given their projected ages. Police have said that this case is in it's early stages and an intense investigation is underway. No arrests have been made and they have not said whether or not they have a suspect in mind.
We will report on this story as more details become available.
