Love & Hip Hop New York's Rah Ali and Her Husband Welcome Rainbow Baby "Anaia".

Sometimes the hardest battles we face give us the sweetest rewards.

Just last year, Love & Hip Hop New York star, Rah Ali and her husband lost their first daughter to miscarriage. “When you’re pregnant with your first child, it’s a whole mental thing just knowing that you’re going to deliver,” she tells PEOPLE. “Every day you count down and see [your due date] getting closer and closer. At five months, I hadn’t even come to the realization that it was going to happen. It was the worst experience of my life.”

This year, the heavens smiled on them again and the couple conceived. Ali and her husband found out early on that they were expecting and they were super excited. This time, they would put everything in God's hands and let him lead the way.

A rainbow baby is a name coined for a healthy baby born after losing a baby due to miscarriage, infant loss, stillbirth, or neonatal death. The name “rainbow baby” comes from the idea of a rainbow appearing in the sky after a storm, or after a dark and turbulent time.

Thankfully, this time, Ali's pregnancy came to a blissful end when she gave birth to a healthy baby girl. Born on Wednesday, Nov. 11, baby Anaiá Ali weighed 7 lbs., 14 oz., measuring 18 inches long. She was delivered at Mercy Hospital in Miami.

"I chose it because it's Arabic and means 'protected, diligence,' and I strongly feel God covered she and I the whole way."
