Amazon Studios Releases #FirstLook at "The Burial" with Jamie Foxx and Tommy Lee Jones.

In the wake of his return to social media, after a lengthy, undisclosed illness, Amazon Studios has released their first image from their film "The Burial" starring Jamie Foxx.

"The Burial" was written by Doug Wright and Maggie Betts and based on the New Yorker article by Jonathan Harr. "The Burial" is one of SEVEN films that Foxx has in various states of production. Productions that took a pause when Foxx was admitted to a hospital, and subsequently a rehabilitation facility, after suffering an unknown medical emergency on April 12, 2023. Foxx, and his camp, was radio silent until he posted a video thanking the public for their prayers a few days ago.

We were so happy to see him looking healthy, thinner but still healthy, after months of speculation!

Here's the film's synopsis:

Inspired by true events, when a handshake deal goes sour, funeral home owner Jeremiah O’Keefe (Academy Award® winner Tommy Lee Jones) enlists charismatic, smooth-talking attorney Willie E. Gary (Academy Award® winner Jamie Foxx) to save his family business. Tempers flare and laughter ensues as the unlikely pair bond while exposing corporate corruption and racial injustice in this inspirational, triumphant story.

"The Burial" will premiere on Prime Video but, a date has not yet been released.
