Arizona Father Kills His 10-year-old Son, Then Turns the Gun on Himself in Horrible Murder-Suicide.

Detectives in Tucson, Arizona were called out to a residential neighborhood yesterday and what they found was a sad scene.

According to KOLD News 13 officers responded to a call shortly after midnight at a "home in the 10000 block of East Palmetto Pointe Trail after being advised by a male caller that he was on his way to perform a welfare check on an adult male and juvenile at a residence."

Reports say that the adult male who lived in the residence was not responding to phone calls or text messages from loved ones who were attempting to check on him and his son.

Police had to obtain a search warrant to enter the residence and when they did they found an adult male dead from a "self-inflicted gunshot wound" and the young boy dead with obvious signs of "gunshot trauma".

There were no other inhabitants of the house although it was determined that the two did live in the house together with a woman who was not home at the time.

"The adult male has been identified as 40-year-old Phillip Emmanuel Foye. The juvenile has been identified as 10-year-old Sebastian Phillip Foye. Next of kin have been notified.

Based on the initial investigation, detectives believe Phillip Foye was the only adult in the home armed with a firearm. Investigators believe Mr. Foye fired his weapon at Sebastian before turning the gun on himself."

Foye's Facebook page lists him as "divorced" and there has been no word on the relation between the woman who lives in the home and her relation to the two deceased.

There has been no motive discussed for the killing and police are continuing to investigate.
