Brandy and Paolo Montalban Reunite as Cinderella and King Charming for "Descendants" Movie!
Not us having an entire fan moment over the newly released video of 90's film couple Brandy and Paolo Montalban!!
In case you didn't have good taste in late 90's made for television films, let us bring you up to speed. In 1997 R&B singer Brandy Norwood teamed up with Whitney Houston, Whoopi Goldberg, Paolo Montalban and a ton of other great stars to bring us "Rodgers and Hammerstein's: Cinderella".
From this movie came one of the most iconic Fairy Godmother verses that the world has ever heard.
There will NEVER be another Fairy Godmother like the late, great, Whitney Elizabeth Houston. Even trying to re-create her swag would be. . . well. . .
Fast forward 26 years and fans of the film are getting the long awaited update that they've hoped for.
Just today, Disney's Descendants franchise shared a first glimpse at the actors reprising their roles of Cinderella and Prince Charming, respectively, in the upcoming film Descendants: The Rise of Red.
In the brief clip we get a peek at a blue-haired Brandy and a very distinguished Paolo all dressed up and awaiting their carriage. Take a look.
My goodness they both look so good!
Here's what we know about "Descendants: Rise of Red": Red, daughter of the Queen of Hearts, and Chloe, daughter of Cinderella and Prince Charming, team-up to travel in time with the White Rabbit's pocketwatch and prevent a catastrophic coup on Auradon ( a ficticious land). The film stars China Anne McClain as Uma, Kylie Cantrall as Red, Malia Baker as Chloe Charming, Rita Ora as the Queen of Hearts, Ruby Rose Turner as Bridget, the young Queen of Hearts, Morgan Dudley as Ella, the young Cinderella and Tristan Padil as teen Prince Charming just to name a few.
There's no word when "Descendants: Rise of Red" will premiere on Disney+ but, you can bet your mice turned into horses that we'll be watching!
