Columbus Man Breaks into Family's Home Brandishing a Mutilated Rabbit and Growling!
We have no clue what's gotten into people lately but America is starting to feel like a dystopian thriller! A family in Columbus, Ohio was stalked and chased by a crazed man!
Police reports say that a mother and her daughter were at home on February 11th when a man broke in and began "acting crazy". According to reports, 50-year-old Derl Honacher broke a window to gain access to the home in the 3500 block of Plainview Drive and began acting aggressively and menacingly toward the woman and child who lived there.
Court documents say Honacher left a mutilated rabbit, which was stolen from a neighbor earlier in the day, inside her home.
The woman and her daughter then ran to a neighbor's home. Honacher allegedly broke the front window of the neighbor's home and entered.
The woman, daughter and neighbor were barricaded in a bedroom when Honacher started making growling noises and struck the door, court records say.
Franklin Township Police officers arrived on scene and arrested Honacher, who was armed with a knife, after he jumped from a window, according to court documents.
No one knows what Honacher's intentions were but, they couldn't have been good. It's clear there needs to be a psyche evaluation done during this investigation as well.
Honacher is charged with one count of aggravated burglary and one count of burglary. At this time, he isn't facing charges for the mutilated rabbit.
