FOUR Men Arrested After Cops Find a Body in the Trunk of Their Speeding Car!
Lord have mercy this case is terrible!
Four North Carolina men have been arrested after a traffic stop turned gruesome earlier this morning.
The Halifax County Sheriff's Office states that
"Detectives from the Roanoke Rapids Police Department contacted deputies following a vehicle stop conducted at around 1am for speeding by Officer C. Roberts. The vehicle stop led to the discovery of a deceased man in the trunk of the vehicle from apparent gun shot wounds. After the discovery was made by Officer Roberts, Roanoke Rapids Police Detectives were called and began to investigate. Police detectives later learned that the deceased man was likely murdered just outside the city limits.
Halifax County Detectives began investigating along with the assistance from Roanoke Rapids officers and charged the four occupants of the vehicle for the murder of Trevon Quantavius Fields, 23 of Roanoke Rapids.
Ralik Robinson, 22, Trevathann Myquan Shearin, 20, Shantron Avondre Person, 20 all of Roanoke Rapids and Deluntae Jaequon Squire, 23 of Halifax have been arrested for the death of Mr. Fields. The four men have been charged with murder and placed in the Halifax County Detention Center with a January 20, 2021 court date pending."
The identity of the deceased hasn't been released at this time pending the coroner's official identification and the notification of the victim's family.
None of the men apprehended have claimed responsibility for the man's death and neither has given a motive.
