Infant Found Dead, Toddler Unresponsive and Their Caretaker has Been Charged with Murder.
A Broussard, Louisiana woman has been arrested and charged with murder after a welfare check at her residence proved fatal.
Reports say that when officers arrived at the home on East Third Street Monday evening they found a dead ten-month-old baby and an unresponsive two-year-old.
The toddler was taken from the home and rushed to an area hospital when they are currently listed in critical condition.
Tammy Clause, 49, of Broussard, the children’s caretaker, was arrested at the home and being held in jail.
Clause is facing charges of second-degree murder and second-degree cruelty to juveniles.
