Moments After His New Video Released, Rumors Swirling that Migos Rapper, Takeoff, has Been Shot.
One third of the group Migos, Takeoff, has reportedly been shot.
Reports came flooding in early this morning, just a few hours after Takeoff and bandmate Quavo released their new video "Messy", that Takeoff had been shot in Houston.
Accounts are different but one thing is true, there WAS indeed a shooting in the wee hours of the morning in Houston. KHOU reports that security guards at a bowling alley heard gunshots just after 2:30a.m. They did confirm that there was one male deceased who'd been shot in the head and/or neck.
Two other victims were taken in private vehicles to hospitals, police said. They added they are not releasing the identity of the man killed until his family has been notified and his identity verified by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
Migos began in 2008 as a trio, Takeoff, Quavo and Offset. In recent months there have been speculations that Takeoff and Quavo had parted ways with Offset who had been making singles with his wife Cardi B. Those rumors were solidified when Quavo and Takeoff released a music project without Offset.
While we do not know if this was Takeoff or not, other sources are confirming that it was, we are definitely praying for his family, friends and fans.
We will keep you all updated as more details become available in this developing news story.
UPDATE:
TMZ Hip Hop has obtained footage from the scene, and you can see Quavo -- in an orange shirt -- and others gathered around Takeoff. At first they tried to move him, but then put him back down, and Quavo yelled for someone to get help.
The photos and video are graphic and we've chosen not to post them. Rest in Peace Takeoff. He was only 28.
