More Details Emerge in Horrific Murder of Florida Mother and Her Toddler at the Hands of His Father.

A young Florida mother and her young son were found dead over the weekend and more details have become available in the gruesome crime.

The Chatty Passenger previously reported that the family of 20-year-old Pashun Jeffrey made a call to St. Petersburg police after not being able to reach her last Thursday. Neighbors in the same apartment complex where Jeffrey lived had also said they recalled hearing a disturbance just the night before. When police arrived to do a wellness check they found the young mother, on her bathroom floor, and she had been brutally stabbed, at least 100 times, inside her home.

They also discovered that her 2-year-old son, Taylen Mosley, was missing. An Amber Alert was issued immediately but, the outcome wasn't what anyone hoped for.

Little Taylen's body was found several hours later in the mouth of an alligator in Lake Maggiore. The alligator was shot and Taylen's body, still intact, was taken to the coroner to determine if he died before or after encountering the alligator.

Taylen's father, Thomas Mosley, had been a person of interest in their murders and now, we've learned more information. It has been reported that Mosley, 21, was at Jeffrey's apartment after she hosted a birthday celebration for him earlier in the evening.

Jeffrey's family says they all left her residence around 5:15pm, when the celebration ended, and left the young family alone. According to arrest records, Thomas Mosley left the apartment around 8:42 p.m. EDT and traveled to the Lake Maggiore area, located south of downtown St. Petersburg. The lake is near Dell Holmes Park, where Taylen Mosley’s body was found.

Mosley later went to his mother's house, about 10 blocks away, around 9pm the night Jeffrey's neighbors say they heard a disturbance 30 minutes before. He reportedly had cuts to his hands that were so severe that he had to be hospitalized for a time.

While he was being treated, detectives were actively working to gather evidence and they eventually did. Authorities linked Mosley to a bloody fingerprint on a cleaning bottle and a bloody Gucci shoeprint at the crime scene, according to an arrest affidavit.

Mosley was booked into jail immediately after being released from the hospital and can be seen wearing bandages and a hospital gown on jail surveillance video.

Mosley was charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with Jeffrey and Taylen's deaths, jail records showed. He is being held without bail at the Pinellas County jail and is awaiting trial, according to jail records.

Thomas Mosley pleaded not guilty to the murder charges during a hearing on Saturday.
