OWN and Disney Onyx Release the Trailer for "The Hair Tales" a Docuseries Celerating Black Hair.
There's a lot we admire about Oprah Winfrey but, there's one thing that sticks out the most. "Mother O" is going to bring up the "hard things" that people don't want to talk about and make the world take notice. Well, she's at it again and this time, we're talking about hair. The Oprah Winfrey Network and Disney's Onyx Collective have joined forced to produce an original series entitled "The Hair Tales". "The Hair Tales" is described as being a "celebration of Black women's identity, beauty, culture and humanity, uniquely expressed through the stories" of their hair.
"The Hair Tales" is a six-part docuseries where six diverse phenomenal women including Issa Rae, Rep. Ayanna Pressley, CHIKA, Marsai Martin, Chloe Bailey and "Mother O" herself sit for intimate conversations with Tracee Ellis Ross. Take a look at the trailer below.
"The Hair Tales" is executive produced by Oprah Winfrey, Tracee Ellis Ross and Michaela angela Davis. The series will premiere showing two episodes on Hulu weekly and one on OWN weekly. The first episode will stream Saturday October 22, 2022.
