Texas Teen Killed After Jumping Out of Her Mother's Car on the Freeway During an Argument.

An argument between a Texas mother and daughter last night ended with the teen girl dead on the freeway.

Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said the teen was arguing with her mother when she opened the door and jumped out while it was moving. The teen was struck and killed by another vehicle, which did not stop and left the scene.

The girl, described as being "possibly 15", was pronounced dead at the scene.

The southbound lanes of I-45 were closed at FM 1960 while crews worked at the scene of the incident. The expressway has since reopened this morning in time for the Tuesday morning commute.

There are no further details at this time however, the Harris County Police Department is looking for the vehicle that hit the young girl.
